The Meaning Of Customer Service

The Meaning Of Customer Service

People joke a lot about customer service. But what really is customer service?

If we look into the origins of the word serve,we find it associated with helping,’ ‘giving aid to,andshowing devotion to. It even has ancient ties to the idea of public worship (as in going to a service). In its truest sense, service sits at the centre of many spiritual traditions as an expression of compassion — the flowing bounty at the core of life, kindness and the recognition of our fundamental unity, and that what uplifts one, uplifts us all.

For something to truly be of service, there must be a sense of honour, care and, daresay, even devotion and worship of the customer being served. This doesnt mean our customer service department is going to cast your likeness in gold, anoint you with oils or chant your name at set hours of the day. (Sorry.) It does suggests we gotta truly care.

It means, to be customer service, our focus must sincerely be on the health, happiness and well being of all who cross paths with PURICA, aiding the customers life, and not just our pockets. It means, in the words of co-founder Jason Watkin, Were not just out to see the world as our piggy bank.

Sure, a business needs to make money, it needs to stay afloat, there needs to be a giving and receiving; otherwise, there is no business, and no service to the customer. But the heart of it must be mutual upliftment.

And what greater service can we offer than to relieve suffering, to inspire relaxation, health, vibrancy — a mind and body at ease, free and clear — and all that comes from this?

Which brings us to the matter of advertising…

Hey, Check This Out!

We have a voice on social media, we've run ads in newspapers and magazines, you find us at the health food stores and natural health conventions. But, believe it or not, we havent always been comfortable with the idea of advertising and being another voice out there vying for attention or trying to get you interested in some product, especially if done in a way that all too often to us sounds like someone yelling, Hey, look over here! Me, me me, this way, this one! No no…Dont look at that other person or company…Look at me! Or, at least, thats what it feels like sometimes doesnt it?

But when we get testimonials like this:

I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis when I was nine years old and in the last 20+ years I have tried every anti-inflammatory drug and supplement. I have tried taking Turmeric supplements many times.  They never worked.  Nothing did.

I was on a prescription from my rheumatologist of 600 to 1200 mg of ibuprofen up to four times a day.

And because of this necurcumin extract that you guys have created I am no longer taking ibuprofen. I take two of these curcumin pills a day and it keeps my inflammation at a manageable level.

Its helping me heal ulcers and seriously changing my life.

I am so grateful ❤️

Well, it warms the heart and reminds us of the benefit of getting word out there, on the chance that it may change a persons life so dramatically for the better.

So…Well…Hey! Look over here, check this out!

Were not saying were the best, but we are saying, it may help. As always, let your own experience and discernment be the judge of that. We sincerely hope it helps!
(And please dont feel pressured, theres enough of that already in the ethers.)
