How to Thrive in Post-Meditation

During post-meditation, use what you have learned in meditation practice and continue to be mindful of the tendency to flutter in mental distraction.  Increased mindfulness brings increased clarity.  Increased clarity brings increased insight.  With increased insight, we no longer feel mastered by thoughts and emotions.  With continued and confident practice, we can master the ability to rest in the still clear-mind and this unleashes joyful ease and skilful action.

Experiencing that we can choose to change our state of mind will change our lives.  The surviving mind is similar to agitated water pervaded with mud and the thriving mind is just like this same water clear and calm.  The mind, like water, reflects brilliantly when it is clear and still.  Be prepared to experience life in unexpected ways.  Enjoy!
