PURICA EXPANDS ITS NATIONAL FOOTPRINT BY BRINGING ITS “PODIUM” TO THE PROVINCE OF SASKATCHEWAN

…Purica extends its national partnership with The Sport Market on the TSN Radio network and now Newstalk 980 CJME Regina and Newstalk 650 CKOM Saskatoon

DUNCAN, B.C. (APRIL 4TH, 2016) – Purica, the Canadian-owned and operated natural supplement company behind flagship health products such as Recovery and Immune 7, is expanding its national footprint by extending its partnership with The Sport Market on TSN Radio — the only weekly sport business radio show of its kind in Canada – to include Newstalk 980 CJME in Regina and Newstalk 650 CKOM in Saskatoon.

The move is part of the growth of the Purica retailer network into the Prairie provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba and the general expansion of its product line across Canada. The Sport Market will air in Regina and Saskatoon Saturdays from 3-5 p.m. ST and repeated Sunday mornings.

Purica is in its fourth year as a national partner of The Sport Market, which rates and debates the bulls and bears of sport business and covers everything from sport finance, sport marketing and sport technology to sport broadcast, sport merchandising and sport philanthropy.

“We love the association with The Sport Market and the active living market of sports fans and enthusiasts who make up much of its listening audience,” said Rod Sidoroff, Vice-President, Business Development, for Purica. “The Sport Market combines sport and business in much the same way we combined whole foods, natural supplements and positive lifestyle solutions.”

The partnership with The Sport Market allows Purica to deliver its brand and signature “Nature. Science. You.” to multiple markets across Canada. Featured in the partnership are 30-second commercials, lifestyle tips, live reads and The Sport Market Podium powered by Purica (a branded segment built around the three biggest sport business headlines of the week).

Sidoroff noted the ongoing association with The Sport Market in markets such as Regina and Saskatoon will help increase brand awareness and recognition for Purica in key growth areas.

“We’re committed to building our retailer networks in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, as we are across the country,” said Sidoroff. “This will help ensure that all leading health food retailers  throughout the Prairies identify with our flagship products such as Recovery and Immune 7, and our growing lineup of formulations, medicinal mushrooms and super foods.”

Newstalk 980 CJME and Newstalk CKOM 1200 – independently-owned by Ralwco Radio — become the first non-Bell Media radio stations to carry the show, hosted by former NBA, Tennis Canada and Olympic sport executive Tom Mayenknecht. They join TSN Radio stations TSN 690 Montreal, TSN 1200 Ottawa, TSN 1050 Toronto, TSN 1150 Hamilton and TSN 1040 Vancouver, along with Bell Media news talk radio station CFAX 1070 Victoria in carrying The Sport Market.

“We’re delighted to have the chance to bring The Sport Market to the great sports fans of Saskatchewan and specifically to those listeners of CJME 980 in Regina and CKOM 1200 in Saskatoon,” said Mayenknecht, a native of Montreal and Toronto who now lives and works in Vancouver as a sport business commentator and principal in the marketing communications company Emblematica Brand Builders.

In addition to the new affiliates in Regina and Saskatoon, The Sport Market airs live at 10 a.m. ET and 7 a.m. PT on TSN 1050 in Toronto, TSN 1150 in Hamilton and TSN 1040 in Vancouver. It also airs Saturdays at 12 noon ET on TSN 1200 in Ottawa and 1 p.m. PT on CFAX 1070 in Victoria and on Sundays at 6 a.m. ET on TSN 1050 and 8 a.m. ET on TSN 690 in Montreal.

“Our partnership with The Sport Market is a natural fit for us as we build on our leadership position in many Canadian markets and reach out to new ones,” said Sidoroff of Purica, noting the company will continue to expand its advertising network through its partnership with The Sport Market and other similar vehicles and initiatives in the months to come.
