What are the first words that pass your lips in the morning? Are they resentful thoughts about your alarm or words of thanks for the opportunity that greets you with the rising sun? Literally, which side of the bed of life are you waking up on?

When you start each day by acknowledging what is going your way — and recognize how far you’ve come – you’ll see it’s much further than you sometimes think.

Remember, the future is created in the present moment. What you do today matters.

I can say from personal experience that many good things are borne out of what some would label “bad experiences”. If you never feel struggle you will never truly know the glory of victory.  In unhappy times — or whenever challenges put the weight of the world is on your shoulders — remember the clouds will pass. The best way to get through a difficult time is to keep moving through them.  Have you ever felt better by dwelling on what isn’t going your way? Not likely. In fact, it most likely made you feel worse!

You need to focus on the thoughts and actions that will have a positive effect of your life.  You must be accountable for the things that you have the power to direct. When it comes to reaching your fitness goals, you can control what you eat and drink. You can control whom you spend time with. You can control how much effort you put into your workout. You can control whether you go for a run or watch another hour of television. All of these variables are one hundred percent in your control.

The sooner you let go of what you thought should happen and live in the moment and take action, the sooner your dreams will become your reality. Remember, the future is created in the present moment. What you do today matters.

Ask yourself everyday: What can I do today, right now, that will bring me one step closer to the vision I have for my life?

Only through living a series of life lessons can you make a series of dreams come true.

If you desire change and you’re committed to take action, you will be unstoppable.
